ECLECTIC MIX MAY 21

The tracks filling my head space this month

Well another spotify playlisyt, another month done! It’s taken its time, mainly due to that annoying jetstream sitting too low for this time of year, but it seems like the summer could be finally on its way. This month’s is a little shorter than usual, as it’s been a little hard to fit in listening to music and curating a playlist of tracks, but here it is anyway. As always it contains the usual mixture of genres from dance, ambient, indie, funk, ambient and some golden oldies. Admittedly some of these tracks you might find on one or 2 of my playlists from last year, but i’ve been feeling a little nostalgic lets say, and some of the songs are too good not to hear again !

As alway, i can appreciate the list might be quite long (even though its a little shorter this month), or perhaps you don’t have a spotify account. So to help i have included a Youtube playlist below, which boils down the songs, that are without doubt, in my opinion worth a listen:

Super Furry Animals – Slow Life

Wayward – All a Bit Mad

Real Lies – One Club Town

The KLF – Justified & Ancient

Ohio Players – Love Rollercoaster

Average White Band – Pikc Up The Pieces

Andrew Bird – Roma Fade

Steam Down, Afronaut – Etcetera

Zaia – SHADE

Clark – Lambert Rag

Tears For Fears – Pale Shelter

Still Woozy – Window

This months list features Cicada, Super Furry Animals, Wayward, Nubya Garcia, Tranquility Bass, Sedibus, The Orb, Real Lies, KLF, Friendly Fires, Ohio Players, Kool & The Gang, Average White Band, Andrew Bird, Zaia, Steam Down, Clark, Tears For Fears, Still Wooozy and Disclosure. As always the varied nature of this list makes it ideal for anytime listening (well maybe not sleeping), so get the speakers turned up to 11 or get the head phones plugged in and treat your ears, and brain to some new music from the full playlist below. Big shout out to Steven from my work for putting me back in touch with KLF whom i hadnt heard music from since my childhood, and my mate Robbie for suggesting Roma Fade by Andrew Bird. So until next month, be safe, look after each other, and enjoy the sun!
