The tracks filling my head space this month
What a month march has been. Finally the weather is turning, there has been a few rare dry and sunny days, and the clocks have sprung forward, making our days longer, and there is an abundance of daffodil’s, bumblebees and trees coming to life. The music selection this month is as varied as ever, and there is an increase in upbeat tracks, with maybe a more slight leaning to house-ier/dancy tracks, as well as female vocal lead tracks. There is in part a small homage to Daft Punk in this month’s playlist, as after 28 years of producing music they decided to call it quits. There robotic costumes, cathch-y music, and unique production style will be missed, with their likes never being seen again, truly unique, and I’m proud to say i had the fortune of seeing them live many years ago!
As alway, i can appreciate the list might be quite long, or perhaps you don’t have a spotify account. So to help i have included a Youtube playlist below, which boils down the songs, that are without doubt, in my opinion worth a listen:
Rosie Lowe – Birdsong
John Barry – Midnight Cowboy
Daft Punk – Around The World
Roisin Murphy -Overpowered (6 Music Festival 2020)
Interpol – Leif Erikson
Jane Weaver – I Need a Connection
Madonna – Nothing Really Matters
Bonobo – Flutter
Alfa Mist – Run Outs
KAYTRANDA – What You Need ft. CHarlotte Day Wilson
Hannah Peel – Emergence In Nature
This month we have tracks from Daft Punk, Holy Gjost!, Interpol, Roisin Murphy, John Barry, Leftfield, Madonna, Royksopp and Bonobo to name but a few. As previously stated most of the list is upbeat, and dance/house orintated, but there is still the usual blend of genres to indulge the ears with, either turned up loudly on some speakers, or intimately with some earphones, there is something here you’ll be guarenteed to enjoy. So if you have the time, or want to give the full playlist a go, then here it is below in all its glory:
